Described as playing with “precision, dedication and a spark of magic” by the renowned Aulakonzerte Göttingen, this award-winning Czech piano trio founded in 2019 is truly extraordinary among the next wave of rising European ensembles. Program includes works by Dvořák, Brahms, and Moravian folk songs arranged specifically for the trio by Jan Vičar.
The Boston Musical Intelligencer noted, “The threesome exuded intense, expressive passion and consummate technical acumen. Their fervent playing was tight, allowing each musician to shine without suppressing the others.”

Program notes:
In 'From Moravia', Czech composer Jan Vičar breathes new life into the folk traditions of his homeland. This vibrant song cycle is inspired by the melodies and rhythms of Moravian folk music - rich in emotion, earthy in character, and deeply rooted in the region’s rural life and customs. Vičar’s settings are both respectful of tradition and boldly imaginative, weaving together voice, violin, cello and piano in colorful, expressive textures. Each song captures a different facet of Moravian spirit—from playful dances and heartfelt laments to moments of quiet introspection.
