Ballet Melange presents The Nutcracker, a holiday classic that transports us to a land of magic and dreams that come true. At the Stahlbaum’s Christmas eve celebration, Uncle Drosselmyer’s gift of a Nutcracker doll to his niece Masha leads to an enchanted adventure involving first love, victorious battles, and a visit to the Land of the Sweets. Performed in collaboration with Classical Ballet Academy (CBA). which provides the highest quality Vaganova curriculum – the technique developed and taught at Russia’s Imperial Ballet School (currently known as the Vaganova Ballet Academy) and the Mariinsky Theater.

This production is choreographed and staged by Elizabeth Shipiatsky, after Vainonen and Petipa, and features elaborate costumes from Russia and Ukraine and original projection designs by Jill Carter.
Ballet Melange is a registered Colorado 501(c)(3) not-for-profit dance trainee and performance company. Ballet Mélange facilitates the artistic growth of early career dancers while serving the public by increasing access to high quality dance performances, especially to those who do not have regular access to the arts.

DON’T FEEL WELL?
If an attendee’s temperature is above 100.4 degrees or an attendee is not feeling well, please stay home. Our flexible ticketing policy during this time allows for refunds or account credits.
FOOD AND BEVERAGE
For most public performances, concessions will be available in the lobby. Beverages are allowed in the theater; food is permitted only in the lobby. Patrons may briefly lift face coverings while eating or drinking inside the building.
LIABILITY
By attending the event, attendees assume all liability for any illness or injury that may occur as a result of attendance. The City of Lakewood is not responsible for any illness or injury resulting from any person’s attendance at the event.
