Zz LSO - 2018 - Dynamic Dessert
Thursday, May 31
We begin with enticing flavors from Borodin’s “In the Steppes of Central Asia” followed by the Young Artists Concerto Competition Winner serving up something not on the current menu. Next, we get an original recipe from Mussorgsky, the infrequently sampled but always refreshing “Night on Bald Mountain.” We saved the best for last, with a taste sensation of Spain with hints of Russian overtones in Rimsky-Korsakov’s brilliant “Capriccio Espagnol.”
Tickets start at $10.
In the Steppes of Central Asia - Alexander Borodin
Night on Bald Mountain - Modest Mussorgsky
Capriccio espagnol, op. 34 - Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov
